I'm admittedly not much of a hockey fan, but it seems like no matter what team they follow, every fan thinks theirs is the toughest, most intimidating, most well-run organization in the league. This is a great contrast from baseball and football where fans of losing teams will openly bemoan their ineptness.

Growing up in the PNW, I'm the exact opposite. I expect mediocrity and underpformance. The Caps are well run but not perfect. They have a bad habit of not being patient enough with developing players. They ditched Forsberg and Eakin. Forsberg for a rental in a season in which we had no hope of making a cup run for a guy who had no hope of helping us turn into a team who could make a cup run. I saw Eakin play with Swift Current 3 or 4 years ago before I knew he was a top rated prospect and knew he was special based off that one game - GMGM shipped him out for literally nothing. Insanity. They do a good job of drafting foreign talent though. Probably better than everybody except Detroit.

Maybe it's an east coast thing since most fans I know are NY, Phila, Pittsburgh or Boston. Flyers haven't won shit in 40 years and every year the fans say they're doing fine and then when they don't do shit they say it's fine and they're going in the right direction. But everyone was tearing the Phillies a new one in 2009 for making it to their second straight world series but failing to win it again.

I dunno man, Flyers fans are a very weird breed. They have this unconditional faith in Ed Snider and get excited whenever we hire former Flyers as coaches or management, even when they have no record of success outside of playing.

Speaking of irrational Philadelphia fans, it's predictable but still disappointing to see this giant "Fire Chip" bandwagon already forming. We gave this guy the keys to the kingdom in January. It's been 4 games. Yeah, it has a high possibility of never working, but you can't jump ship this quickly. Only shit organizations overreact that quickly. We're not just going to go to the Andy Reid store and buy another 5 NFC East Title Game appearances. We are where we are and we have to ride it out through at least next season, even if it doesn't get any better this season.

Yeah I've been trying to explain to some of my bros to just get a f**k bookie if they wanna gamble so bad cause they're never gonna have the ability to truly compete on these daily fantasy sites but they are all deluded.
