As soon as you see what they do with the opening credits, you'll know what this movie is all about. The insane, disjointed humor, the way it shamelessly lampoons the entire superhero genre, the total disregard for the fourth wall. Its a comic book origin story, but its unlike anything else in the genre. Villains are a bit flat. Not perfect...but damn. Its two hours of FUN. Laughed till it hurt. I was worried they'd dropped all their best gags on the trailers, or that it would run out of steam in the third act...but no. The laughs are dense. And of course, like all Marvel stuff, stick around till after the credits. Its a comedy first, and a Marvel movie second...so obviously don't go in super srs.
