Good story and glad things turned around but you need a new mentality. Life is a fight, a brutal f**k knifefight in a phone booth, each and every day. Accept this and embrace it. The fight is life, it gives it meaning, purpose and is fundamentally, at a darwinian level, the only worth waking up for each morning. The only way to lose the fight is to quit. To bend the knee, to wave the white flag, to give up on yourself and on the fight itself. Never let that happen. You have a runny nose? f**k your nose, f**k influenza, f**k walgreen for marking up kleanix by 20%, f**k them all. DONT LET THEM WIN.

What you saw today wasn't an angel, but a warrior. A fighter who never bent the f**k knee, no matter how many times he fell off the wagon. A man who woke up each morning knowing his life up until that point was a loss, but was determined to get up and fight another day. Maybe he gave up on himself, maybe the rest of the world gave up on him, but he NEVER gave up the fight and the fight will never give up on him. Life is nothing but a battle - some we win, some we lose - but never let the flame die. We all have bad days, but even on the worst of those days, when you wish you could just hit pause or restart everything, be happy. Not happy with your day, but happy that tomorrow is another day to fight. And that's what matters.
