I recall suggesting Trump runs the risk of stagflation.
This is a distinct possibility.

Ok my bad, I get your position now. I thought that by arguing in favor of hyper-inflation or growth you were suggesting a recession was out of the question. I just didn't interpret your message correct. I'm glad we agree on the fundamentals actually.

I'd say the one thing that could throw a wrench in all of this is how hard to Fed sticks to it's dual mandate and in which way. I think most people would argue that they'd go for price stability but the mandate also covers employment as well - depends on the chairman and the board. In a recession I could easily see Trump trying to prevent unemployment by taking a card from Nixon's past and trying to iimplement wage and price controls ala The Economic Stabilization Act of 1970 or something similar.
Would be awesome.
