You're relying on data that isn't there to deflect away from the fact that you don't have a sound argument.

"Well, if every negligent discharge of a weapon was tracked, my assertion that Americans are irresponsible gun owners, would be true."
And we both know that's impossible. You can't base a argument on data that isn't there.

At least I made a half ass attempt to compare the the number of gun owners to the amount of average gun shots treated, provided by the CDC. And, as far as I can tell those numbers don't differentiate between accidental shootings( which is the total sum of negligences in my book), and gun shots intentionally inflicted on another person, or oneself.

So comparatively speaking, which argument holds more water?

You're the one depending on "Well, there might be a astoundingly high amount of negligent discharges, so I might be right."

As far as I'm concerned your negligent discharge argument is irrelevant, since there is no way to verify either way.

As far as negligent discharges, intentional discharges, and discharges resulting in self inflicted wounds, resulting in actual treatment, the numbers are minimal compared to the amount of gun owners in this country. Therefore your overly simplified generalization you were spouting earlier, falls completely flat.
