As someone who's married to a person of Hispanic descent, I have gained a unique insight into mind of the variety of Latino voters and, as this election has shown, it's not monolithic by any stretch. My wife's family has roots all the way back to the Alamo (they have an ancestor who's statue is on the river walk), so they have been Americans for many generations and my demographic experience within my little slice of the Latino population almost mirrors that of white America. My wife's family in San Antonio were solid Trump supporters with the exception of my brother in law (highly educated, vocal Sanders supporter). They were almost exactly like my side of the family with how they voted, and even my sister and law and brother in law (the younger ones) voted like many white Americans in their 40s. They are both educated and have great jobs, but really hated Hillary.

Just thought it was interesting, at least to me.

You people need to stop fixating on the candidates and focus on what they represent. Working class Americans felt the squeeze, and a demagogue capitalized on their frustrations by pointing the finger at "others." Some rich white, Latino, etc folks were okay with it too, because hey race and class aren't conflated. The complete absence of a viable Left politics and decimation of working class organization led to a stuck-up party establishment, btw Republicans are in for it too, and voila. Trump. Or again, what he represents, the structural decline of US power in the age of financial crisis.

Who cares what libs think, spineless as they are. Socialism or barbarism!

It also doesn't help that there were tons of voters who likely picked Clinton just based on her name alone with no knowledge of her career, politics, scandals or any of that.
