I'm gonna go ahead and toss out my thoughts, and let others join in.

The Democratic Party thought that they had this thing in the bag based on race/gender demographics, and therefor felt it was ok to abandon working class politics. That was a major f**k up.

Even without changing much on policy, they could have won on their same platform with a candidate who people generally like and trust, such as Joe Biden.

"But Clinton got the votes in the primary! She is who the voters chose to run on this ticket!" Yeah, but they made early moves to clear the field for her and muscle everyone else out, which is why only a nobody like O'Malley and a 74 year old socialist like Sanders were the only two people with so little to lose that they ran anyway.

Speaking of, Sanders would have won.

Biggest problem was that they listened to and believed in the idiot box and associated mouthpieces. Comfort came from those soothing voices telling them all would be well, just listen to them.

Sanders would have won. He would have taken all those votes away from Trump in the rust belt.

The primary blame for this goes to establishment DNC and their supporters. They didn't listen to anyone who tried to warn them about a Clinton-Trump matchup. They didn't understand how sick and tired people were of her or the type of politics she represents.

People wanted Sanders, they got Clinton and Trump (and now Trump as Pres). It went from legitimately wanting someone new in power like Sanders to "Eh, fine I guess I'm with Hillary" and now look at it.

It wasn't just the party, but the whole flawed apparatus. Meaning the MSM that sailed along with the sunshine unicorn universe.

I agree with everything you said, Philly.

The key point is how the Clinton machine cleared everyone out beforehand.

But one thing is certain after peasant rebels have enforced demands: the Clinton political machine is done.

Before this election proper we were talking about the GOP transforming in the fallout. Well. I think they still will. But so will the Dems. The parties are going to be so different than what they will be in 10 years

Shitlibs have had this coming for years. They really earned this defeat.

1. As usual, I was absolutely correct. There is no democratic coalition, there was an OBAMA coalition. I have to laugh at Dyaln's insane comments about the republicans never winning the white house again. But but but...the demographics! 1/3 of Hispanic males voted for Trump. Trump had a larger share of the black vote than any republican in recent memory. Trump slaughtered Clinton among women without a college degree. There is no Democratic coalition, and there never was. There was an Obama coalition and nothing else. The democrats have lost the entire federal government last night, because they mistakenly assumed people actually liked them. They liked Obama, not the democrats.

2. Surprise, calling people racists and bigots when they don't agree with you is not an effective way to win them over. For all the nonsense they gave trump about being a bully, and being uncivil, libs would go around telling people they were supporting Hitler if they said anything positive about trump. Is that not bullying? Is that a civil discourse? Liberals have an astounding arrogance and have come to practice an authoritarian brand of politics where you can't simply have a political disagreement among two otherwise reasonable and decent people. If you don't agree with my liberal politics, you support the Nazi party and had Muslims and blacks and women and any other group I can think of. There is a brutal truth beneath the electoral math, and the truth is that the states who put trump in the white house also voted for Obama. All of these people cannot be the bigots liberals insist they are. I doubt it, but maybe this absolute route will encourage liberals to actually act civil in political discussions, to tolerate different viewpoints without insisting the other view is evil or ignorant. Americans are a liberty loving people and when you continually shit talk them for being morally wrong or stupid, they arent going to cover and come around to your viewpoint...they will vote against you even if they realize it's a massive gamble.

3. The DNC is an absolute joke, an outright corrupt organization that forced a candidate that has no business coming near the nomination. What an absolute f**k you to democrats and to the country. Here is the shittiest and most corrupt candidate we could find. Now you have to vote for her because the other guy is crazy. haha, well jokes on the democrats, because again, American's do not take kindly to such cynical politics and threats. What they did to Bernie was absolutely unconscionable and has less of a place in a mature and functioning democracy than Donald Trump. Let this be a lesson about the value of competition. For all the republicans faults, TRUMP faced 16 competitors, bested them all, and EARNED his nomination. Hillary faced one, who the entire party undermined and derided. One candidate was clearly more battle tested than the other. When you don't let people truly express their views in the nomination process, by running as many good candidates as are willing to run and allowing them to have a fair and neutral election, you end up missing the pulse of the people and you get embarrassed an a surprising way come the general election.

4. The media. Oh man, what f**k hacks. How incompetent could they be. You obviously had nearly the entire mainstream media solidly in the tank for Clinton, and yet they couldn't help themselves but to feast on the entertainment that trump provided. They would run hit piece after hit piece, bullshit editorial after bullshit editorial...and yet they undermined their own propaganda by giving trump 18 hours a day of airtime because he was entertaining. The forth estate has show itself to be more out of touch, greedy and incompetent than any branch of government.

It's called a plebiscite for a reason. It's the decree of the commoners, not of the college educated coastal liberals.
