It worked out terribly for them. The Republicans control the entire federal government and the majority of state governments - so much so that they are close to being able to unilaterally amend the Constitution.

Now, the fact that Bernie would have won having already been established (pay no mind to anyone spewing alternative facts that suggest otherwise), we need to wonder why these "Democrats" prefer the current outcome to having a leftist president.
