I feel like this is set to fail. Once again the Dems are trying to make something of a crime that comparatively (at least in the wider public eye) will either be seen as a technicality or as something that all the other politicians do as well.

Trump's day will come in November of 2020. Not from impeachment and not from this. After everything else that's happened and continues to happen (Trump's foreign policy is a disaster from the perspective of DPRK/Iran - China was going to be a disaster either way so that's not on Trump) outside of him being caught red handed there's just nothing that can be done but wait. 1. Teflon's call to the Ukraine carried the same policy overtones that the US has had with Ukraine since forever, "don't be corrupt, investigate your corruption"

2. The Whistleblower sent the brief as third party hearsay.

3. Hunter Biden/Joe Biden thing will be spun by the internet hate machine - Republicans: "Biden bullied Ukraine over aid dollars to fire the Ukraine AG to protect his son" to Democrats saying "Biden bullied Ukraine over aid dollars to fire the Ukraine AG because he was not investigating corruption (which would protect his son)."

4. The contents of the call also contained discussion the DNC-Ukraine corruption related to the Clintons. This is the GOP side of the Russian-Collusion investigation.

I think the learned gentlemen among us are aware of two things: This is pretty bad, but not gonna stick to ole TEFLON.

1. This is pretty bad. Like straight Nixon shit. Not that I'm surprised because we all know Trump would have crossed this line, but still. 2. Not gonna stick to teflon. Because as discussed above, the republicans are utterly shameless. Lindsay Graham should be taken to the steps on congress and shot for the rank hypocrisy he has polluted the chamber with. Republicans stand for nothing, have no values, have no principles and are the sort of smarmy little people who would have climbed the greasy political pole in Nazi Germany or the USSR as well. There can now be no doubt they are a cancer on this nation and must be stamped out entirely from the national political scene. Anyone who tells you about the constitutions etc etc, slap them in the face. The republicans care nothing for the constitution, for the rule of law, or for common decency, and the minute democrats take power they should take any and all measures to ensure this unpatriotic gang of thieves never comes close to the levers of power again.
