We need to consider the idea that Trump, the Executive Branch, and the GOP are slowly working to corrupt the election this fall. It would seem this pandemic and civil rights movement is proving a somewhat perfect distraction as this administration goes off the rails.

Ueber/John - can we wipe records of this website if needed? I get that it's already out there but every little bit helps.

Not sure what you're really worried about with regards to this website Kane. Do you really think Trump is going to send jackbooted thugs to lock you up for criticizing him on this forum for an audience of 7 people? If that's what it comes to, I'm sure we'll all be locked up or dead in a gutter for other shit before they get around to taking notice of this place. There are millions of anti-Trump posts on twitter, facebook, etc, every day.

Trump signaled without much subtlety at all his intention to declare the election a hoax or fake news or whatever and contest it regardless in that crazy interview the other day (Biden should use it as a campaign commercial).

If the usual suspects want to declare the US a failed state (without making asses of themselves this time), they should wait until this election is contested. If trump remains in office despite having clearly lost the election, and despite the will of the people, then they'll have a case to make, as the Republic would have clearly failed to function. Democracy requires an orderly transfer of power. Trump will make it a disaster if he can...but the transfer of power, (should he lose) will absolutely happen anyway.

If not, then yes. The end of the Republic.

Imagine if you will the Secret Service looking at the watches at the stroke of Midnight on January 21st 2021 and frogmarching his ass out of the White House. Warms the heart.

As we watch federal agents deployed in Portland to "combat crime."

Is it really that hard to see Trump's current enablers supporting his efforts to stay in office? At all levels of government? John Bolton has inside information on tons and he waited to write a book on it.

The only institution that hasn't failed is the judiciary. And it's on borrowed time now too (Barr, Ginsberg, etc).

Biden just vowed that countries that interfere in our election are on notice if they do it again. Sooooooo just interfere and have Trump win. Nothing to worry about then.

We have become so accustomed to this idea of paragons in our federal agencies and yet nobody has stepped forward with anything that's overwhelmingly condemning of Trump. But everybody knows it's out there.
