It's not a threat proper, it's just an annoying ad app which is why hitmanpro and kaspersky aren't coming up with anything. From what I gather it usually downloads as bundled software, so there may be more to it than just the browser extension that you disabled. You should be able to easily remove it. Go to the windows start button, then go to control panel, then go to programs, uninstall a program and find yontoo in the list, then just uninstall it. See if that helps.

I don't have it and don't use it, but it could locate those registry files to delete. As i said, don't use for anything else.

Yeah, I'm just not the biggest fan of Kaspersky. It can be a hog.

I second that, Kaspersky seems to blow. If you had Norton it would've taken care of yontoo no problem.

Honestly 99% of the shit you're going to get comes from web browsing and flash. Outside of that it's the stupid bundled installers that some people don't catch.

With the first thing I highly recommend Notscripts and adblock plus. The second is up to you. This of course means no more internet explorer...but that's the for best anyways.

Outside of that I always recommend AVG and ZoneAlarm. But the free suite from Avast has made ripples.
