Political crossfire is almost the perfect name for attracting all sides. That should remain, no matter what.Just my opinion.

Part of the merger would include all of the post from here being moved.
That could also be up to you, if you want to start at zero, that would be fine, whatever works.

I'm worried you're making a bad decision here, Chris. Is this really what you want? PCF isn't your normal political forum and we are not your normal members. We are like the Imperial Japanese soldiers who stayed in the jungle until the 1960s because they didn't realize the war was over. We're the starving rat that ate all the other, weaker, starving rats. If you put a drop of us into a petri dish with healthy human cells, we will kill them and then each other. Our parents were siblings, they had a dozen f**k up, incest babies but, unlike the other children, our genetic disorders only made us stronger. Your forum cannot deal with us. We will kill it. Don't rush into this.
Also, Patriotic Voices sounds like a CD compilation of nationalistic songs peddled to the elderly during an On The Record W/ Greta Van Susteren commercial break.

It is possible that we could keep this name.

I oppose a merger, honestly. Keep the community as is Uber, and designate trusted members we've known for years to help out.

The last thing I want is for a community I've spent nearly a decade with to be transformed into a profit making exercise for some company I could give two shits about. There is nothing that he is offering that we couldn't do on our own, and I simply would not want this awesome community to be under control of an outsider. Ueber is a great admin - even when he's gone for weeks at a time, he is the guy I want running the show. The simple fact that he put this up for debate when he could be selling us out for a buck proves my point irrefutably.
