changing demographics. colorado is flipping to a safe blue state. virginia and north carolina are actually battleground states now with everchanging demographics. it's only a matter of time before arizona goes the way of texas and flips blue because of changing demographics. when the old boomers die in florida? GG battleground state.

ethnic demographic, cultural demographic in the case of colorado (lots of young people and west coast liberals moving there). virginia and north carolina, at least in my experience, are the top of the list for young and middle aged, liberal north easterners to move to get away from the weather. on top of that they're continually becoming more urban.
