just like the topic of raising the driving age to 18 isn't the same as texting while driving, texting while driving and drunk driving are not the same at all

No. Doing moronic things as a driver in high school is a rite of passage. Leave it the f**k alone and let the chips fall where they may.

my point, which you apparently missed by a wide margin judging by your response, was that the issue is not related to raising the driving age. raising the driving age is also known as "the topic of the thread"

We should drop the driving age. More years to practice before 16.

texting can and is done by everyone, regardless of age. adults are more likely to text and drive than teens, but not by much
http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/ ... story.html it's not related to teen driving. teen driving problems have to do with their complete lack of wisdom and life experience yet the feeling they have that they already posess more of that than anyone else

Gas this entire thread. Yes, please take even more liberties from a generation you have already economically crippled and made slaves to the police state. f**k you all, driving at 16 is a fundamental American Right. My state hands out "learner permits" at 15 and you don't have to pass a test before you can drive. Girls regularly would drive through the fence and shit in driver's ed and pass the course and claim a licence. Instead of unfairly limiting the freedoms and liberties of all because a select few are unable to handle the privilege, how about we simply condition driving on ...GASP, the ability to drive!
Shocking how many fascists there are out there, wantonly restricting the liberty of citizens for some bullshit liberal soccer mom cause.
