i can't refind anything i saw on there though since it's got millions of users now but i had read this weekend that not only was GME shorted but institutions own over 100 million shares of gamestop and gamestop has issued 70 million shares. this doens't even count retail investors. but i found some info

seems like this is even bigger than simply shorting it 140%
