Naw. The guns calm me down. It's the idiots I have to deal with that make me nervous.

There you go. I knew you could do it. Now all you have to do is go back to your original post and take out the word ban.
You see, there's a little technicality because some on here look for one little mistake to attempt to discredit your whole post. You did say sweeping gun BAN laws and the articles only say sweeping gun laws. It gives some an excuse to dismiss everything else you say just to make fun of you. I don't think it's a big deal, but we must remember to be precise or face the wrath of mockery.
Now if you really want to dig deeper, you can go back to around 1995 and show quotes from both of them stating they would love to ban ALL guns. But then again, you are treading on thin ice because someone will also point out that's 17 years ago and should be ignored as irrelevant in the further attempt to mock you. You know what I mean. It happens all the time.

I would like to take this opportunity point out that having a gun on you doesn't mean you will get to use it:
http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/01/justice/t ... ?hpt=hp_t2Happened in a town not too far from here. An ADA was killed the other day and he was armed at the time (but apparently did not draw). Some here will claim otherwise, but quite a few people on this board have some kind of almost magical belief in guns, that they will save you from any and all harm. Thats just not the case. Being armed isn't like in the movies, where people shoot and miss from 5 feet away and the hero has time to draw his gun and put a bullet in the bad guys and then walk away from it all.
