i think i'd have under 10 channels if i was able to do this. MAYBE in the teens if i took doubles like food network+cooking channel or something.

This all assumes the subscription payments will be the only source of revenue. I don't think advertisements will go away. We may very well see no intermittent commercials, but companies pour a ton of money into sponsoring shows. "This episode is brought to you by Papa John's." Youtube and other digital media providers already do this. It would probably be implemented here.
