I was just hoping it would stay below $400. $600 is just offensive. They're used to getting the living shit taxed out of stuff across the pond, but damn if I'm dropping that much on goggles. I figure that a PC build that can really do VR costs about $1200. Straight up 980ti build. People say you can get by with a 970, but I'm thinking framerate stuttering would make using this thing pretty miserable. So really, we're talking about almost $2000 bucks for a fun toy.

Probably just wait for Pascal. 16nm is sexy. Thats three times the transistor density of the 28nm stuff we're rocking now. Pascal is probably going to be worth the wait...and it'll be the shit we need to make VR not puke inducing.
