i don't know that it's just hiv (which is easily preventable by simple behavior anyway). but the point is, blocking an enzyme's function could have unintended consequences

If high levels of APOBEC3B indicate a higher risk of breast cancer, and a simple blood test can determin this, I wonder if they can find a way to dial back the production of this enzyme to normal levels, instead of just blocking it; do a little therapy on the APOBEC3 genes.
