Apparently so, I didn't know about that. Though, definitely sounds like the tech on that phone wasn't up to par to run a full desktop OS.

sure, because mobile cpus weren't that great at the time. if they did it now it'd be the same. i really don't see anything much different displayed there in specs that other phones

How so? The specs above are pretty substantial compared to other devices on the market right now.

well galaxy s4... okay, it has less ram but the other specs are equal or better ("multi core cpu"... can't really compare... s4 has dual or quad depending on market). http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxys4/

the nexus s4 similarly has less ram and rom but it also costs 300 unlocked. and it's been out since last year http://www.google.com/nexus/4/

It's really all speculation at this point, the product doesn't exist yet.
