1) Fallout 3 (d/ling now)
2) EU4
3) Dishonored
4) Borderlands 2 GOTY (does this have extensive single player, or is it mostly multiplayer?)
5) Assassin's Creed 2
6) Portal 2
7) Rise of Nations

I think that's a good mix of RPG, RTS, and FPS. Anyone know about Bioshock? I remember playing System Shock 2 as a kid and literally jumping out of my seat.

Also went to Best Buy and picked up Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim only to learn my laptop doesn't have an optical drive. Bloody hell, least it's thin though. Also, maybe I haven't played games long enough, but what is this online activation bullshit?

bioshock is really good. but buy the first one and not just the second or third one.

Yeah man that's a beefy laptop. You should be fine.

And yep, just got GOTY edition. Thanks for the tips, hopefully I will know what they mean in a sec lol.

haha. Basically golden keys are free loot. There's a chest once you get into the main town that you can open with golden keys and they give you rare loot for free, essentially. Golden keys cannot be obtained in the game and are just kind of a bonus thing that is offered from time to time (most often on the weekends).

But yeah, shoot shit and have fun.

https://www.facebook.com/Borderlands2ShiftCodes

there's 3 valid at the moment that I see at a glance:

PC: C3KTJ-KHS6B-H5TFW-T3BJ3-6RB9X

PC: KBK3T-3SHFB-ZKTFW-JTJTT-T6CWK

PC: WTKT3-CSZWJ-H5JXK-BBJJB-BS3ZS

I think the ones that expire on 6/23 do so at midnight but they may still be valid. I already redeemed them the day they were out so I can't check it for ya =P

Ok. Borderlands 2 was a good buy. Great game. Too bad I didn't buy the GOTY for the DLC.

Let me know if you wanna try some co-op sometime, BR.

I think I have a few lower level chars but I'm not sure how that works with expansions and all. I *think* everyone can still play together, you just can't do any content that someone in the party doesn't own.

I've just now made it to the city, so still pretty low. Would be fun.

ok I'm limited to internet on a crappy phone right now, but real quick: this computer kicks ass. borderlands 2 is hilarious and I love cel shaded games. took me a couple hours just to get to the city. funny story about that. spider, I'll be traveling abroad, but if I get a decent connection, YES COOP. ueber must join as well :p

played ruse of nations, mostly getting accustomed to the insane number of options v age of empires.

played fallout 3, completely lost but figure I'll do some side missions till I figure out how to get to galaxy news radio.

yeah, this is coming at the tail end of a work cycle. thank God, cause my productivity is f'ed

Got EU4 Extreme, Dishonored GOTY, Bioshock, and Assassin's Creed II Deluxe for $30. Picked up Far Cry triple pack couple days ago as well. Just need Portal 2 now, and I think I'm done. This is enough to put me back for at least a year of work..

This steam sale is amazing, 75% off and no tax, Christ.

speaking of assassin's creed

1. the first one is really good. controls aren't as good as the second one but, at least for me, is so much more immersive because it's the closest to real life out of all of them as far as your abilities and the story (which almost every major character in it was a real person)

2. started playing black flag. was totally done with the franchise after i quit playing 3 halfway through (due to how shit it is) but 4 is unbelievably fun and surprisingly a story about pirates doesn't feel as dumb as i though it would.
