picked up a few games so far on Steam sale.
State of Decay. Only played a couple hours so far but is pretty good. Zombie respawn AI is a bit cheap though. They will spawn 2 feet away from you at times. However very solid gameplay so far. I might end up using a controller though as it seems more like a controller game than mouse/keyboard game.
Also picked up The Witcher and The Witcher 2 (haven't played either)
and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
I went ahead and picked up Assassins Creed IV (gold) since it was on flash sale for 50% off. I had wanted it for a while but just didn't see me having time. So I went ahead and snagged it. Keeping an eye out for any others that look fun.

Borderlands 2 is one of those games that did a ton of things right and a ton of things wrong. The game is definitely fun, up until the 3rd playthrough.

Oh also, if you can find all the expansions cheap, I'd recommend getting them. Adds a huge amount of content to the game and honestly, Torgue's Campaign and Tiny Tina's were just flat out awesome imo. The GOTY edition is 9.99 but you already spent 5 on the game itself and I'm not sure you can get the rest for another 5 but maybe watch for it.

Ya, looks like a massive amount of DLC. Damnit. Have to see about the game first.

Got the computer, so here's my updated list:
1) Fallout 3 (d/ling now)
2) EU4
3) Dishonored
4) Borderlands 2 GOTY (does this have extensive single player, or is it mostly multiplayer?)
5) Assassin's Creed 2
6) Portal 2
7) Rise of Nations
I think that's a good mix of RPG, RTS, and FPS. Anyone know about Bioshock? I remember playing System Shock 2 as a kid and literally jumping out of my seat.
Also went to Best Buy and picked up Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim only to learn my laptop doesn't have an optical drive. Bloody hell, least it's thin though. Also, maybe I haven't played games long enough, but what is this online activation bullshit?
