okay but you didn't actually prove lack of competition is responsible for your speeds you just made an assumption.
and what is your hangup in this discussion about internet speeds and viable alternatives? it's not at all what this discussion is about.

They will face competition because other companies can use the broadband lines to offer competitive advantages in terms of speed, no data caps, and improved customer service.

so the city offers you the same municipal internet they offer everyone else, but you somehow magically are throttled in your speeds by living a few miles out of the city center?
that's not how this works works
and what do you mean you pay 44.95? you just said you pay for the top service.
