Yeah, as it stands now RT makes no sense...It runs some Windows software, but not others.. They release it NOW, but it won't/can't run FF, Opera, ertc.. But it seems it will in the 'near future'.. It all sounds like a cluster fvck.

I don't get why its a good idea to have two separate platforms that have been designed to appear identical, with no important software compatibility between them. It what universe is this not going to piss people off?
Honestly, MS deserves what its going to get over Windows 8. RT is just a particularly condensed form of retardation.
When the *real* Surface goes on sale, hopefully the brand won't be too diluted by this crap.

I've seen a lot of things about Win 8 that will result in us not upgrading. I was thinking about doing it for our field tablets but from what I've seen and read so far, it would be a mistake. Which sucks, because we're still on XP Tablet edition on them.

Windows 8 is a developers nightmare. It was this that caused Steam to start work on a port to Linux.
