I don't get the jail thing in this case but I don't see how the authorities could ignore such a threat either once reported.

Cyber bullying? Guys who post their intentions to kill people on their Facebook, and then do? Terrorist threats delivered via jihadist websites?
Guess what: the internet is real. What you post on it can and will be used against you. Which is why I don't post things that can be interpreted the wrong way when discussing things with strangers.
You don't joke about killing kids to strangers. You don't. That he was reported was completely predictable, which is why I'm so sure he is a moron.
That and he used the phrase "still, beating heart."
