Staal has been released from the hospital. I'm guessing he hit his head so hard he was knocked out. He was so out of it when he got up. Hope there isn't lasting effects.

Caps have been the better team tonight and utterly dominated the 3rd.
I still don't know if they'll win.

Leafs were playing to lose every second after Matthews's lucky goal (luck in the bounce - his play was still absurd). They were feeling the pressure.

That was the issue the entire series. They were oscillating back and forth between nerves/tension and relaxed/sloppiness... It's because they just don't have the experience that lets them stay steady. That's only something that comes with time... And here's hoping next year we'll see things come out a bit differently.

they played gloriously for a team of half rookies. leafs are easily contenders over the next half decade with these guys as their core
