alfie allen's scene with jon was good. alfie's part anyway. and nikolaj costerWaldau is great as well. but beyond a few bright spots, the whole thing was shit. the whole season. i can see why GRRM stopped watching

i read a funny theory that GRRM is done with the books and he is holding on to them until after the last season solely because he wants people to like the show so he can kill the show for us afterward and everyone we cared about

there's 6 episodes left. having everyone die rapidly is lame. i predict a Lord of the Rings ending, with most everybody making it, and maybe having Arya looking like Elijah Wood saying "Gan-dalf?!" from within a bed (instead saying "Gen-dry?!" of course) with bright glow of a sunny day. it makes me sick

awful awful episode. Cersie not killing Tyrion, give me a f**k break. The wall just cumpling at the first sign of a dragon? Give me a break. Littlefinger getting got like that? Give me a f**k break. They have ruined it. I guess I still have to waatch but the show is not the same. It was great precisely because they didn't do this feel good bullshit.

it's possible tyrion actually flipped to team lannister. basically the evidence is cersei's demeanor changed, tyrion is sad when he realizes jon and daneyrs are banging because he's gonna betray them, and some use of dialogue between cersei and jaime talking about being a traitor if you meet with the enemies around the time cersei and tyrion meet (she also called jaime the dumbest lannister)

which would be good because then there would be some amount of intrigue/ it would return tyrion to be as GRRM called him, greyest of grey character. and originally he did want Tyrion to burn winterfell down (in his original plan for the series)

but the shit with littlefinger was ridiculous

I thought he was just mad at being freindzoned but maybe thats the real deal. If so I would be a bit more pleased that would at least make sense. I doubt it though. Yea, littlefinger got got to easily and the whole thing makes no sense.

They definitely went very conventional this season (its like they just scripted majority fan theories), so maybe, just maybe, they're saving the last 8 to get some backstabbing GRRM back in vogue. Tyrion flipping would be a great start. I'm hoping this season was the calm before the second return of a supposed dead serial killer twist.

Yeah...let's not forget that the show ended with Jon boning his aunt. That's not the great happy ending that everybody desired nor is it "seemly."

As for Little Finger - do we give arya and sansa too little credit here? Consider their history and all that they've been through - wouldn't they be the wiser to his antics? And wouldn't he become comfortable in his assumption that he could easily manipulate these peeps? It's not too far out there to see it that way...maybe it's just disappointing because Little Finger had done so much before that he was held in such high regard?

What would you guys have preferred for Little Finger?

Yeah. The show clearly isn't what it once was...and there is a lot of fan service. But honestly, I'll still have fun with it. Instead of a nearly straight across adaptation of some seriously complicated books...it's now just a TV show. And that's the standard I'm holding it to.

This is all GRRM's fault.

oh sure they might have a couple, but most of them will live. in LotR a couple people died, but it was happy ending. there shouldn't have any happy endings here.

arya needs to die at this point. she has had absolutely no consequences for her violence. D&D seem to think women empowerment means being "badass" and they've made all their female characters a bunch of "badass" mary sues, with arya being the worst

BUT she won't. the stark family started as the ones saying "he who passes the judgement swings the sword". hell, even crazy lysa arryn gave tyrion a trial. littelfinger got murdered in front of everyone and no one did anything. and nothing will happen, because violence gets you want you want now in GoT and has no consequences

this stems from people not liking complex characters. so they end up making everybody black and white, but generally "badass". arya is the worst. a complete psychopath people are rooting for her and think she's "badass". she has ridiclous sword fight with brienne of f**k tarth because apparently training for a few months in bravos is enough to know how to duel. this f**k show... now she walks around with her hands behind her back. flower of paradise. maybe she's the waif with arya's face? frankly it would be the most understandable thing at this point
