An apostate is one who willingly is in opposition of their religion/belief, not someone who through coercion temporarily retracts in face of death or other consequences.

We all knew there'd be a lot of back peddling once the shit hit the fan.
I suppose the hospital will quietly stop handling maternity cases, just in case anything like this happens again.
