i don't see what the big deal is honestly. it's affirmative action so to speak basically.

Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
If guns are not outlawed, the in-laws will have guns.

Those are the years where you build your foundation. This is the best time to help those from disadvantaged families. After that if you can't compete on merits you're just polished turd.

Your stance assumes that jobs are being handed out solely on the point of merit of the applicants.
This is what they are saying and I agree with this point; the area that they are building in is a minority ran area. They aren't even saying that minorities should get all the jobs, but you have to say something is fishy if you give out 50 contracts to do work, and you can't find 10 well qualified minorities in the area to give work to.
It stops the people from giving jobs to their buddies. It's the government version of the Rooney rule so to speak.
Also your stance assumes that because of the rule that the job will go to someone who is unqualified which I don't believe is the case.
