IMO the 'profit margin' a company makes doesn't always tell the whole story.. To say a HI company's isn't a profit machine because their margin is 'only' 4%, yet they make BILLIONS in profit, IMO doesn't work..
Exxon's profit margin is 'only'(ahem) about 8-9%, yet some years they pull in $40 billion in pure profits.. I'm not going to shed a tear for them because they only have a profit margin of 8%..
