He'll get probation. Of course he should never had been arrested in the first place... a warning would have sufficed.

He'll get probation after five months in a jail that's scarred him for life...this is not proportionate to the crime. This whole case reeks of local small town backwardness. Or Texas backwardness. Either way.

You can't release him from prison any more after that kind of treatment. He'll be vengeful and may actually go on a killing spree.

That doesn't have anything to do with being in Texas. New Braunfels is not some place out in the sticks its pretty much a suburb of Austin, which means it's better than where you live.
