No Enoch, media matters wasn't right.  Media matters took it upon themselves to twist and inflame.  I heard the show that day and it wasn't racist.  It's simply satire and if people don't understand that, then don't twist the words and context to suit spin.  if you know anything about Media Matters you would understand their agenda.  I'm content citing them as a biased site.
I've never said Rush was flawless, you insinuated that. 

Indy, believe it or not, I'm very disappointed in the people running for office on both sides of the aisle for quite a long time.  Everything you said about the GOP being hijacked is true however, you neglected to include the Democratic party.  If you are interested in truth, you certainly would have included them since it is obvious our system is corrupted.  That you didn't include them speaks volumes.

If you choose to believe what George Soros wants you to believe, be my guest.  I just happen to disagree with you.  Perhaps I should refer to you in terms of being a progressive instead of liberal, would that soften the blow?

I don't understand why it bothers you so much that I believe media matters pushes its own agenda. Of course rush has his own agenda, one that for the most part i agree with. So what? Do you really think that media matters would promote rush limbaugh in any other light? Of course not. Why on earth would I want to believe an organization that I don't respect ? We all have our own truths, mine are just different than yours. I trust what I hear with my own ears and see with my own eyes.

I listen to rush a few days a week when I can. That particular show was, I believe, last Tuesday and yes I remember the tone and context very well.. Being a longtime listener I understand the satire, obviously you don't. just because you don't understand something doesn't make it wrong for everyone else.

How about some examples of rush race baiting ?

Enoch, since you insist rush is a race baiter I thought for sure it would be easy for you to rattle off numerous examples and provide hard evidence to prove it. Instead you refer me to someone else's link to media matters. Is that all you got?

Here are some facts for you - you have provided me with spin, innuendo, opinion, secret code words and your personal interpretation of Rush's show demanding I accept all as hard evidence Rush Limbaugh is a racist. Those items 'my dear', don't equal fact except apparently in your own mind.

Blind eye? Hardly....I have clearly stated that I don't agree with everything Rush says.

Regarding satire, I suggest you look it up, nothing absurd about it. The agenda I most agree with is conservatism. so what...

Margo, I think the point is that Media Matters is directly quoting Rush in their compiling of his race-baiting quotes. It doesn't matter which way their bias leans. They are directly quoting the man. You can probably ignore the source on this one, lol.

I wouldn't call what Rush does "satire", either. The Colbert Report is satire. What Rush does from time to time is take a sarcastic tone and make extreme ironic "evil capitalist pig" statements. Sometimes he'll go the other direction and make extreme ironic "liberal" statements and suggestions. At the end he'll usually say something like "Well, that's what they actually believe!", and then like a morning zoo crew radio DJ he'll pretend that what he said was so outrageous and offensive that he's gonna get "tons of e-mail tomorrow".

He has a shtick. It's usually not laugh-out-loud funny, but it certainly is MEANT to be funny. He's also a race-baiter with almost 3 whole decades of evidence against him. These shouldn't be points of contention.
