Doesn't this forum arouse your suspicion though? A small group of people with names like Comrade and Winchester who are dedicated to this "political forum" although most of the time there's no debate going on. Seems like a revolutionary cover.
Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.

Why? Because they can. Hell, I bet they even spy on each other. It would probably make someone from the nazi SS homesick,lol. I heard they were even getting poop on the Pope.

It doesn't have a thing to do with finding terrorists. It to assemble a database of "domestic enemies of the state". I'm pretty sure you are among the millions of Americans in that database. I wouldn't be so cavalier about it if I were you, Indy. No one is going to compile a list of enemies of the state and then do nothing with it. They may just monitor most of them for now but at some point something is going to be done with it.
Right now the US public is so far behind the curve in knowing what's going on there is no need for state violence to manage them, but if the Occupy protests ever become effective the US gov won't hesitate to decapitate the group by dispatching their leadership and any sympathizers in local government or law enforcement that gets in the way. They have their personal data in this database and will not be difficult.

If your intention is to imply that only a certain disreputable demographic is being targeted save it.
I'm sure those guys are at the top of the list, but it's not just right wing lunatics from the 90s. Progressive and environmental groups are being targeted as well. Probably more thoroughly because they are more likely to actually have a substantial effect on public perception.
Anything that has potential to disrupt the status quo. Which could be anything.
If you clench your butt cheeks while these guys are looking at you it's going to be a lot worse than simple digital manipulation and a colonoscopy.
