you know you watch the original thing trump said, he went off script when he said "on many sides". he was reading a statement and then totally f**k it up. in this statement above he stayed on message and delivered the thing he should have said to begin with

Too little and too late. I'm sure these ethno-nationalists still feel empowered because this looks politically forced. Trump looks pretty tired there too, I dare to say it pained him to read from the teleprompter.

I think this weekend has finally gotten through to people. The number of people I've heard talking about it here is astounding. Hard to see the revival of this kind of politics in the US but at least people are coming to terms with the scope of the threat presented by right-wing fanatics.

obviously we're talking about it because one of them committed a terrorist act that resulted in death. there's not that many of them -- there were more protesters of them

Kinda makes you wonder what Sessions and Wray had to say to Trump about all of this. I can't imagine any of it was good. The heavily armed militias that showed up should concern some for certain. Right wing militias that grew in response to Obama became a huge concern for the Secret Service and the FBI.

it's not glorifying to report on atrocities, but it is very irresponsible to not do it

the truth needs to be heard. the press have a duty to report facts, something that many of the 'news' organizations have failed to do so. but showing what happened in virginia, how it is appalling to almost all americans, is certainly not going to help recruit more to the white supremacy movement than to the anti-white supremacy movement.

ignoring problems... what does that get us? we have a protected freedom of speech in this nation, so these people can speak and the government can do next to nothing about it. but we as normal americans can do something about it. we can blacklist every one of those people in the photograph from buying anything at our establishments, or fire them if we have that power, until they publicly repudiate all that the KKK, neo-nazis, and other white supremacist, white nationalist, "alt-right" groups stand for

Those clowns already shriek and backpedal when their faces get identified all over social media. They're starting to realize why their forefathers carved up bedsheets.
