well, does go to show that money can win elections. She got about 54% of the vote, and she received over 4 times as many contributions. it's right across the river from the twin cities, and it is disingenous to call the place entirely rural as it is included in the minneapolis-st paul combined metropolitan area. however, half is rural, and this is an area when if you drive around there's farms with massive flags flying and signs that say MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN and shit. source: i used to live there and my parents still do. but it does raise the idea that maybe people who don't live in X shouldn't be able to donate to election about X

no, but the money is because of widespread discontentment with the president. it had nothing to do with the local politics in the race. people donated because trump, and it made enough of a difference, together with the people in the district that felt the same way. the district is slightly republican by the way, as obama had won it. ~25,000 people voted and there are 172,088 residents in senate district 10. -22.8% children = ~20% voter turnout? i wouldn't read too much into it, especially considering how the media wants to read such tea leaves like they were given a true premonition that cannot possibly be false

https://www.wsj.com/articles/six-chines ... 1516296799https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa- ... SKBN1F62KO All that pressure on China has really paid off. Again, you're delusional if you think China is going to allow:
1. DPRK to collapse
2. The possibility of a shared border with the West
This is literally do or die for them. That the Russians are also helping them shouldn't be a surprise either.
http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/15/europe/ru ... index.htmlThis idea that Trump has been effective at doing harm to the DPRK is a farce.
