eh. i just prefer indiana's toll system which is private (enter and get ticket, leave and pay for the whole trip) to f**k chicago's union work-program (35 cents every half mile or whatever horseshit)
also for your claim that they are not privatized "anywhere", the overwhelming majority of highways in france and italy are private; my exwife worked as a lobbyist for autostrade based in italy, which has most of the toll roads in the country under its control. it's common in europe and asia
