It's fascinating. He's wrong on a lot of stuff but the insights on the negative effects of industrialization and rapid technological progress are incredibly prescient.

Also this is why I still come to PCF. Finding legit intellectually curious people IRL is impossible.

I guess...people tend to specialize in what they're actually curious about these days. I've met doctors that know next to nothing about politics but could instruct residents through an acetabular pelvic fracture. So finding people as curious about politics as we tend to be is actually pretty hard because people mostly like to do things other than politics.
