You aren't going to remove him from office, true, but there is an absurd amount of work to do rebuilding the grassroots infrastructure that supported the DNC for decades, until it was left out in the cold to die. It takes years to build that up, and not just the two years of campaigning prior to the PE.

Seriously though, this is why the Dems suck balls. I emphasize it for a reason, and I know you're annoyed of it, but too damned bad. These things were brought up over and over again, and ignored, and what I see right now is the party essentially doing the same thing it always has. There are signs of hope (one of which you mentioned) but I'm not convinced, and you shouldn't be either.

And it's not to early to tell. I'm not sure what democrats think...some heroic figure like Obama is going to come riding in and blow Trump away? That was a once in a generation politician and the dems f**k blew it (actually I think Clinton is in the same category). Dems only have 2 people with the necessary name recognition to run a national campaign against Trump. No one is going to vote for some shitlib black lady from california, you will lose. No one is going to vote for some f**k nobody from maryland, I can't even remember his name and I follow politics. No one is going to vote for some shrew from New York telling them to learn in. No one is going to vote for Booker, the poor mans Obama. The dems do not have any candidates and this is not some cinderella story feat barack obama who shows up 2 weeks before the primary and performs a miracle. If dems do not start planning properly NOW they will f**k lose. No one seems hysterical about this but somehow we can all shriek about Trump's latest tweet. Everyone seems completely oblivious about the lack of options the democrats have for 2020, the lack of supporting infrastructure for a national political campaign, and the lack of democrats at state government levels who will be able to control a redistricting process following the 2020 census. It's like the dems don't f**k want to win - they already f**k blew a once in a generation chance to stock the Court, that ship has now sailed. Now they seem determined to sit on their hand reading twitter while Trump gears up for a second term on the back of unstsinable short term stimulus, and the reptiles get ready to rewrite the electoral map in 2020 to ensure another decade of structural advantage in congress. I hate american politics having to share a party with you f**k losers just to avoid having a reality TV star as president (and even thats not assured, this thread is about f**k OPRAH!).
