Republicans are excellent at shifting the blame. This is actually all the fault of the federal government and the Democrats. Oh, and Green Power. Definitely not the fault of the completely Republican-run Texas government. Nope. No blame there at all.

I can't tell you how many hundreds of social media posts I've seen from friends and relatives blaming AOC, Biden, wind turbines, and Democrats. They'll always vote R because even the worst Republican is better than the best communist (read: Democrat) in their eyes.

The amount of brainwashing a majority of conservatives in this state have undergone is f**k legit scary.

My uncle, who never posted on Facebook, started posting Texit stuff right after Jan 20th. Because nothing is more American than Texas leaving the union. He legitimately believes Biden will destroy the US in under 4 years, that Trump legitimately won the election, and that the only way he will survive is if Texas leaves the US and becomes it's own country. His posts didn't age well this past week. I presume he's one of those blaming everyone but Republicans still at this point but he blocked me on Facebook, just before he straight up called me a communist after I showed him that the Georgia "fraud" numbers he posted were false and Georgia had verified the numbers numerous times.

Yes, he listens to Fox News 24/7, along with my aunt. My female cousin has gone full Qanon after taking her mom's lead a few years ago. Luckily, my male cousin was able to spend a year in Germany in high school as an exchange student and was in all honors classes growing up so he's not a retard. He and I are the last people in our family that aren't 100% Trump train.

Drama queens. Yes, the grid should have been better prepared for the cold weather but that doesn't really matter when the entire state is built to survive consecutive 100+ degree day temperatures. Homes and businesses are not designed for the unprecedented weather we got and it was going to be a shit show regardless of the power being on or not.

This was a wake up call to the effects of climate change and clearly there are changes that need to be made.
