This bipartisan infrastructure deal is....inadequate. I guess it's a win for bipartisanship but is it really worth anything if they still need to pass a reconciliation bill?

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/560 ... biden-dealYeah this is all a charade. Dems need to go reconciliation on the original bill. GOP governors can work to deny their constituents the items in it to their own detriment.

It's not all for naught
The point was to show how bipartisanship isn't what any Republicans want. They will refuse to support something they crafted and supported unless other stuff which they don't support is also not on the table in another bill.
It's like that time Harry Reid got McConnell to filibuster his own bill

It's just the flipside of the same coin. It's posturing for political effect so that you can pull something out for your constituents once the elections come around. GOP passed the TCJA in November of 2017. Dems got ARPA through in February. They could've gotten this done before June.
And now we don't. So that we can say what all of the Dems already know and so that we can watch everybody in the GOP not give a f**k. You know what really grinds my gears? All that critical race theory stuff not being taught in classrooms across the country! I mean they only really teach it in Law School!
Dems continue to play an old game.

I've already left the building. It's a hollow shell of what it once was.

another ray of hope that the fillibuster will go byebye
https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/21/politics ... index.htmlmcconnell will play a game of brinkmanship regarding the debt ceiling. what if no republican votes for it, and there's no reconciliation, but, if the filibuster is ended, then the US won't default on the f**k debt? what then, Manchin?
