You guys suck. You're afraid that the new forum would lose the healthy dose of political discourse, but you're acting like a bunch of uneducated hicks. A new member comes around with a proposal and you're like "we don't like your kind 'round here"

If he had made that kind of pitch in real life, he'd get so much worse of a reaction than that. It's like a guy who sells advertising walking into a business and saying "This shit is dead, but I'm uniquely qualified to fix it." Insulting, especially when you find out he works for the high school paper and isn't so much selling advertising as he is collecting donations.

We'll never hear from the guy again, and it has nothing to do with me being a big ol' meanie. It's that he viewed us as a means to his own personal end, and now that he knows it won't work, he's gone. Good riddance.
