anyone else surprised how little fan-fare there's been over the 150th anniversary of the Civil War? unpopular or still too touchy?

Going out on a limb here, but I doubt that 80% of the country knows where the Mason-Dixon line even was. They're not going to care about anything else concerning it.
Heck, I'll bet that half the country couldn't tell you when Pearl Harbor was attacked, and that was much more recent.

Was it a big deal in the south? I understand there's still some angst there because we wouldn't let you guys keep your slaves.
