I dont know why pastors are even wading into this mess. This incident would pretty much prove that god as they know it doesnt exist, or at the very least- has a very strange sense of humor.

Not all religions.
You never see Buddhists using religion to channel their hatred and discrimination. Why is that?
In fact, IIRC if they're passionately protesting something they'll set themselves on fire, not blow up people or commit mass murder.

Aren't they the exception though?
I've read a few books on Buddhism and there's nothing about violence and God striking down this group or that group or how you'll go to hell if you don't do this or that, etc.
In other words, nothing that could be construed as advocating violence or hatred.
