Dylan, I think benefits should vary off of years of service, combat, wounds/injuries, etc. And they should be allowed to go to any doctor at anytime, not just VA hospitals or clinics. For someone who went in for four years and rarely was deployed, should only receive a small package for say 10 years or so. Otherwise on their own.
It doesn't need to be free, it just needs to get them the care they deserve on their personal circumstances. If you're willing to fight for the country, you deserve a bit of benefits if your future is altered because of it.

IDK that the wait for colonoscopies is just a VA problem:
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/12/08/us/50 ... -long.htmlIt's a bit weird discussing this today as my 40yo cousin just passed last night. She also was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.

If the demand for colonoscopies is increasing, why would the solution be to make it unavailable to large numbers of people so the wait time for those who can get it is decreased? Is it such a difficult procedure that we couldn't have more professionals performing them?

The best way to help Vet's is not put them in BS wars. Like the ones since the end of WW2, and ongoing today.

I would like to see the VA medical system ended and replaced with Medicare for all Vets. Give tax incentives to vets financially able to opt out of Vet medicare to go the private health insurance route.

We're a first world country. We need more of these procedures, we build more facilities, train more professionals.
