2. Here is a children's story I read during my school days:
A pet monkey was not contented with the number of bananas given by its owner. As a "gesture of goodwill", the owner suggested a new plan: "I shall give you three bananas in the morning and two in the afternoon instead of two bananas in the morning and three in the afternoon. I hope you will accept my proposal as 'a gesture of goodwill'".
3. Peter Navarro is playing at least three important roles in the Trump administration:
(a) He is "the mastermind behind Trump’s trade war".
(b) He is "the ‘madman’ behind Trump’s trade theory.
(c) He is among "the most important generals in Trump’s trade war".
With such important roles, it is not a sheer exaggeration to state that Peter Navarro is the second most powerful man in America. Everybody should not be misled by the "gesture of good will" on both sides that the trade war is nearing an amiable conclusion.
The German translation of "The Passing of the Great Race" by Madison Grant was so dear to Adolph Hitler that he called it his “Bible”. Madison Grant was arguably the most influential American eugenicist to give early shape to Adolph Hitler’s approach to science and race. If Donald Trump is not trounced in the trade war, another President Good Brain may emerge with his "Bible" of Navarro's crackpot economics a few centuries later.
4. Navarro’s paramount leadership in the trade war has given me the following conception of a computer game called "The Trade War" (Copyright; just kidding):
While the victim was held in a dungeon, a famous Chinese eccentric monk by the name of Ji Gong appeared in his dream one night: "After you take this magic tablet, you will become a superman." The victim felt something inserted into his mouth. Long after he woke, he felt a strange sour taste in his mouth. He also felt something like an electric current surging inside his body.
At the break of dawn, he was led to the negotiating table, or rather the interrogation table, to face the Psycho. As usual, the negotiation, or rather, the interrogation, ended with the Psycho shouting angrily: "Why are you so stubborn!?"
As the Psycho tried to drag the victim to the dental chair, the victim gave a tight slap in his enemy's face. As though he had woken up from a slumber, the victim muttered: "Where did I get such courage to hit that weirdo?" Apparently caught off guard by the victim's sudden boldness, the Psycho stood transfixed for a while before he hit back at his victim.
It was a fierce fight between the two men, one with Wudang kung fu and the other with boxing. After a while the Psycho fled to another room, with the victim in hot pursuit. Soon the Psycho disappeared from sight, and other psychos emerged from nowhere to engage the victim in hand-to-hand combat.
After defeating scores of psychos, the victim arrived at a big hall where 18 masked men were waiting in two rows for him. Using the Shaolin Luohans' style of fighting, they engaged in a fierce combat with the victim. After killing all the 18 psychos, the victim finally confronted the Psycho for the last time.
The Psycho had been sitting motionless on his "throne" while watching the fight. Now he got up from his "throne" and walked slowly towards the victim. The final combat between the two men was the fiercest of all. The Psycho eventually met his Waterloo. While the wounded man was lying on the ground, the victim noticed a slight difference in the skin colour of his face and neck. Putting his hand over the Psycho's face, the victim ripped off the silicone mask and wig without much difficulty.
He was shocked to discover that the face under the mask was that of the Psycho's closest aide. Asking the dying man for the whereabouts of the Psycho, he pointed at the body of the last "Luohan" killed in the fight. The victim walked towards the body to remove the mask. Sure enough, it was the Psycho.
Suddenly Ji Gong appeared in front of him. The victim thanked him for his magic tablet. The mad monk laughed: "I have not taken a bath since I became immortal. What you had swallowed in your sleep was actually my body dirt rubbed into the form of a tablet. It doesn't have any magical but psychological impact. Once you overcome mental blocks and barriers, nothing is impossible. I could have given you anything to swallow, and it would be just as magical."
