What are your thoughts on death and reality?

We are all in a simulation, nothing more than bits and bytes going back and forth on some circuit board somewhere. No more autonomous or unique than our creator programmed us to be. When we cease to live, all it means is that our program has run to completion. Maybe we are immediately reincarnated as the same characters continuously, maybe the computer is turned off for the night by our creator, maybe the creators universe, which is probably a simulation as well, ceases to exist for whatever reason. No point worrying about it or dwelling on it because that would probably take most of the fun and meaning out of life anyway.

To me, the idea that after we die we are gone, is a gross overestimation of what sentient flesh is capable of. I really don't think it's particularly religious to be comfortable with the idea that we are two things, a physical body and a soul, and the soul is why its riduculous that the lights just go off when you die. Your awareness based on the main senses probably dies, your interpersonal stresses, worries, agendas probably die... but a person is more than the body they inhabit.
