Anyone giving odds on the UK government finding a way to wiggle out of this entirely? Cameron is bowing out and leaving the actual invocation of Article 50 to whatever sad sack comes next. Delaying. The UK now stands an excellent chance of of dissolving completely as Scotland and N Eire clearly want nothing to do with this idiocy. Still worth it, UK, if half your country erects two middle fingers and walks? And the referendum itself isn't actually even binding in any legal sense. Government can still say f**k no. The Leavers are now reneging on their asinine promises. Damn near fraud, frankly, the shit they were telling people. Obviously market access without the corresponding freedom of movement isn't the sort of thing the EU will tolerate, if for no other reason than as a matter of precedent. Public opinion seems to be shifting towards "Oh shit we've f**k up" rather than "Go home, brown people!" Given the age and education gap between leave and stay, the future political gains from this are nonexistent.

The Brits should get a do-over. Not that they deserve one.

Scotland can go and NI can go back to the Republic, I wouldn't shed a tear, however they won't leave the UK, EU members do not want to set a precedent of constituent parts of their respective nations wanting to be sovereign within the EU. I'm not one for harking back to the Empire or whatnot, but I always have the line of thought that similar sized nations (Such as South Korea) are not part of a EU type institutions and are doing fine, I don't see how it would be any different for us, in fact, I stumbled upon this, food for thought.

Maybe the EU should be just a trade and travel agreement, and the nations immigration and other policy should remain under each member nation, not central control.
