I was shocked when this came out. I was sure my AR was going to cost me 200.00 to keep it. Now Fine Swine really looks stupid on the 3rd when she puts her new assault weapons ban out there. I have already had 37 people write my congressman and senator and tell them to make sure this bill is dead on arrival.

Comrade, I did enough work for you. Google it, read it and learn something. SSRI drugs are dangerous period. They are over prescribed and this is going to be brought out. The F.D.A. really does not want this fight but they going to get it.

none of those are studies linking anti-depressants to violence. one is about birth defects, one is a gigantic non-scientifice correlative circle jerk, the other is talking about whitney houston and a bunch of other nonsense.

In my report I observed that C.J.P.'s adverse reactions to Prozac exactly paralleled the description of adverse drug reactions contained in the FDA-approved label for Prozac, including the "emergence of anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia (psychomotor restlessness), hypomania, mania, other unusual changes in behavior, worsening of depression, and suicidal ideation, especially early during antidepressant treatment and when the dose is adjusted up or down" (p. 8). C.J.P. had deteriorated emotionally over a three month period on Prozac, including an increase in dosage 17 days prior to the assault.

I think there is enough evidence to warrant an investigation into these drugs and their part in causing these killing sprees. SSRI Drugs are a common link in almost every case of mass shooting in the last 20 years. This evidence can not be overlooked. I mean you want the truth don't you? If if is proved that SSRI drugs are the cause of all this wave of shooting would it not be in our best interest to ban these drugs?

f**k antidepressants, the kid was a whackjob anyway, whether or not chemicals enhanced his depravity is moot. And anyway, the abject failure of proper mental health care, precautions, and screening in the country is really no secret at all. Anyone who would choose to argue that is gonna lose the fight pretty handily.

If we really want to delve into the possibility that psychiatric pharmacology and the prevalence of SSRI's has culpability in these random cases of shit, it needs to be first established beyond a doubt that the Bushmaster wasn't used so the "assault" weapons lynch mobs can be proper told to shut the f**k up and stop clouding the issue with nonsense. The larger and much more critical conversation about the motives of madmen has been completely obfuscated so far by gun control piggybacking it's agenda on the back of this tragedy, and their media blitzes and propagandizing will have to get squashed before the unwashed masses will even look for real causation, which is obviously these nutters themselves and their ability to harbor and permeate seething hatred and somehow fly under an entire community's radar for years.

If anyone knows for sure, has it been confirmed that the AR15 was NOT used? I'm on the iCrap so I can't easily check, but even if I could I'm sure it would be a story hard to find. Anyone?

Anyways, yeah. I just confirmed rather easily that Prophet's link (to suggest the AR15 wasn't used) was an old story, released while the media was still speculating and theorizing. That MSNBC story is before the coroner confirmed it WAS a long rifle used. Bloody hell Prophet, a 3 week old news story reported before the coroner shared his findings? Keep the f**k up on current events.

Gotta say, a lot of credibility you may have been granted up until this point just flew straight out the window where I'm concerned, and just so we're clear, thanks heaps for the unnecessary, inflammatory misdirection. I almost went bat-shit crazy over this. Real classy stuff.

It does seem that the NBC story was contradicted by the coroners report. He did not however say That the weapon was anything other than a long gun. The press really has messed this entire thing up. I was livid as well over that piece by Williams. You would think NBC would be credible . I have not seen a single report yet that says death was caused by .223/5.56 or what empty cartridges were found at the scene. To me I no longer know what to believe about what the shooter used. However this doctor does have credibility and SSRI drugs should be looked at before we start banning rifles.

Roy, what pisses me off is I was following the case pretty close and the NBC video just popped up as BREAKING NEWS. Last night I found and read the coroners report but even he was not clear. Long gun. You would think a coroner would have said death by 9mm pistol or .223 rifle . The press really have destroyed this case from reporting stand point.

I have to disagree with that statement. Breggins proved in court of law that these drugs do enhance violence in already messed up people. It could mean the difference between punching his hand through a wall, beating the hell out of his girlfriend or shooting 26 people. Most violent offender are not cold blooded murderers. Breggin believes these drugs can turn them into cold blooded murderers.
